Passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on February 20, 2019.
She was born February 23, 1935 to George and Maria Fast in Yarrow, BC, the 8th of 10 children. She married Herman Toews in 1962 and together they had two daughters. They raised their family Abbotsford on Holland Ave. and Martha was very involved in her church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Her greatest joy was serving people and she spent 35 years manning the phones at Tele Care, a crisis phone line. She adored her 6 grandchildren and their spouses and her 10 great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of people and her many prayers for us all.
Martha was predeceased by her dear husband Herman in 1982 as well as her parents and five siblings. She is survived by her two daughters, Marjorie (Dave) Hiebert and Susan (Alan) Suderman; grandchildren; David (Sheri) Hiebert, Tanya (Nathan) Blackmon, Jason (Tanis) Suderman, Kara (Garrett) Wutzke, Dawson Suderman, Hannah (Braden) Heppell; 10 great grandchildren, siblings; Dave Fast, Kay Balzer, Irma Fast, Betty Penner and other family members and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, March 1 at 1 pm. at Central Heights Church. In lieu of flowers donations to Tele Care would be appreciated.
