CLOSE; Marjorie Elizabeth (Phyliss)
Passed away in the Abbotsford Regional Hospital early morning June 9th, 2015. Mom was born in Hamiota Hospital, Manitoba, October 27, 1916. She moved to Winnipeg and married Emil Close and had 4 children Wayne, Sharon, Carol and Greg. She enjoyed summers at Grand Beach and her home in Winnipeg. She moved to White Rock in 1989 and enjoyed her life there. Emil passed away in 1992 and mom moved to Abbotsford and lived there until her passing. Mom really loved her upbringing on the farm in Manitoba and loved telling stories about those early days. Mom is on the minds of all who love her and all the love and attention she devoted to her family. A personal note here from her son Wayne; Without her love, caring and support all her life, I would not have had a life and not known what real love is. I owe her everything. There will be a remembrance gathering for her in Winnipeg next summer. Mom will rest in Chapel Lawn there with Emil by her side.
