Miss Marie Helene Jansen passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord on January 15, 2018 at the age of 89, at Abbotsford Hospital.
She is survived by two brothers, Tony (Henrietta) and Herman (Leida). She was predeceased by her parents Steven and Helene, five brothers and three sisters.
Marie was born in Aldergrove, BC on December 31, 1928. She was employed at Vedder Transport for 35 years and lived on the family dairy farm on Bates Road in Matsqui for 24 years. She was a special Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She spent her last years at Cascade Court.
Marie was known as a friendly Christian lady, articulate in all she did. She was a lifetime member of Gateway Community Christian Reformed Church, a Sunday school teacher, church clerk and served on the counting committee.
Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Gateway Community CR Church, 2884 Gladys Ave., Abbotsford, Pastor Marcel deRegt officiating.
Interment will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery.
