With deep sadness, the family of Marie Anna (née Hubeli) Howell announce her peaceful passing at AGH, April 3, 2022. Beloved wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend of many, she will greatly missed.
Marie was born May 15/30, in Wpg. MB. She lived with her parents, Walter and Marie Hubeli and siblings, Raymond and Richard, on their farmin Plumas, Manitoba.
She met her husband John Howell through a mutual friend and they married on May 14, 1955. Marie worked in nursing until she retired. She focused on patient care and kindness and enjoyed working with seniors.
Marie volunteered at the Red Cross loan cupboard for 20 years. She had great fondness for children, seniors, family pets and loved listening to music. She enjoyed oil painting and lived by a deep quiet faith.
Marie is survived by her husband John, and 5 of her 6 children, James Howell, Catherine
(Wes) Peters, Terri Porter, John Howell and Loretta (Greg) Hilton. She was predeceased by her son, Tom Howell, daughter in law Kim Howell, and son in law Earl Porter. She was deeply loved by her 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family of Marie Anna Howell thanks the staff and doctors at AGH for the loving care they showed Marie and her family. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
