Mika was born in Campo Maria, Paraguay. She passed away peacefully with her daughter Heather, and sister Martha by her side on November 2, 2021 in Abbotsford BC.
She is survived by her mother Anna Goertzen, her husband Hans Toews, her children Ron (Andrea), Ken (Melanie), Heather (Arlon), Jon (Erin) and grandchildren Hannah, Camryn, Rueben, Lauren, Sam, Liam, Anna and Emily.
She was predeceased by her father Bernhard Goertzen in August of 1996.
A celebration of life will be held on November 8, 2021 at 2 pm, to be followed by a reception at Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Abbotsford, BC.
