Margaret Levina, late of Abbotsford, BC, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2005. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Don (Judy); grandchildren Allen (Kaia), Christine, Robert (Merrin), James; great grandchildren Sarah, Erin, Matthews and Sean; brothers Albert, Tommy, Stewart and Lester; sisters Doreen and Shirley; sisters-in-law Marion, Irene, Yvonne and Gwen; nephews, nieces and all her friends.

Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband Hugh; daughters Lorna and Cheryl and son Harvey; parents Donald and Agnes; brothers Robert, George, William and Donald; brothers-in-law Hilmer and Cecil; sisters-in-law Irene and Louise and nieces Maxine and Diane.

Margaret was born in Round Hill, Alberta on September 17, 1920. She was raised on the family farm and attended school there, later she attended the Olds School of Agriculture. She married Hugh in 1946 and lived in various locations until moving back to Camrose where they raised their family. While living in Camrose she served as President of the Women’s Institute and also belonged to the Rebecca Lodge. In 1977 she and Huge retired to Clearbrook, BC where she also served as President of the WI and belonged to the Abbotsford Quilters group. She was an accomplished sewer and quilter, and always kept a big garden. Margaret fought a hard battle, confirming what she had been taught in life; courage, character, determination and the spirit to never give up.

We will all miss her. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Mach 11, 1:00 pm in the Camrose United Church, Camrose, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
