Born on April 27, 1915 at Conquest, Sask., passed away peacefully on March 9, 2005 at the age of 89 at Bevan Lodge, Abbotsford, BC.
Margaret is survived by her son Lloyd (Marie) Gratton, her daughter Marlene (Alex) Marshall, her sister Isabelle (Arthur) Cole, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Margaret moved to Aldergrove, BC in 1969 and shortly thereafter she became a member and very involved with the Canadian Legion, Aldergrove Branch. Margaret made many friends during her years in Aldergrove and will be missed by her special friend Norm Simcoe. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1984.
A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held on Friday, March 11, 2005 at 1:30 pm at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Road (at Sumas Way) with Rev. Ken Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Hazelwood Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception at 3:30 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 265, 26607 Fraser Highway, Aldergrove. The family would like to thank everyone for their support and are grateful for the kindnesses shown toward Margaret throughout her life.
