DIRKS Mabel Elizabeth
Passed into the presence of her Lord on May 12, 2013 in Abbotsford, BC. Mabel was born on November 23, 1919 in Waldhiem, SK, to Herman and Marie Gossen, the second of eight children. Married Arthur Dirks on August 25, 1949.
She will be deeply missed and remembered by her husband Arthur; children, Terri Dirks, Sue (Gordon) Unger, Tim (Sandi) Dirks, 5 grandchildren, Tim Martens, Jeret Unger, Carla Siemens, Rachelle Lorentz, Nicolette Dirks, 9 great-grandchildren, as well as sister Alice Berg. She was predeceased by her grandson Adam David. A special thank you to Menno Hospital for their care and kindness during Mabel's stay especially Lillian and her staff of nurses. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 7-8:30 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Funeral Home. If friends so desire, donations may be made to The Gideons, www.gideons.ca
