Well done, Good and Faithful Servant! Enter into your rest!
It is with the deepest sorrow that we said goodbye "for now" to the most amazing Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Brother in Law, Uncle and Friend.
On November 30, 2021 at 2:30am Louis Sydney Oostenbrug went home to be with Jesus. Louis Sydney Oostenbrug, born September 4th, 1968 in Haney, BC to Sydney and Jane Oostenbrug. Louis (Lou) was predeceased by his brother, Louis Sydney Oostenbrug in 1963. Also predeceased by Grandma and Grandpa Oostenbrug, Grandma Mena and Oma and Opa Floris.
Louis (Lou) is survived by his adoring wife, Lori Oostenbrug (nee Klassen), sons Bradley Oostenbrug, Nicholas Oostenbrug, Stevan Oostenbrug and Louis Jr. Oostenbrug. Also survived by his loving parents, Sydney and Jane Oostenbrug, sisters; Janette Oostenbrug, Geri Oostenbrug and Shelley Gallope (Shane). Also survived by parents in law Leonard and Sharon Klassen and sister in law Leanne Enns (Andy). Louis (Lou) also survived by nieces and nephews; Jeralee Alexander (Chad), Oliver Enns (Brandi), Sasha Enns, Tara Gallope, Zack Castiglia, Marco Castiglia, Dylan Gallope and Kaysie Gallope. Great Nieces and Nephews; Sydney Alexander, Coleton Alexander and Briar Rose Enns. Louis (Lou) truly was a man who loved God and his family deeply, he was compassionate, always willing to help and offer support where he could. Always! He loved spending time with family, especially his four boys, he cherished every moment spent together. He also loved the outdoors and his dog, Buddy. He was either landscaping, playing with Buddy at the park or fishing. Fishing was really his passion, where he and God could sit in quietness, enjoy the scenery and always catch a lot of fish. Lou was known for his natural ability to be a leader in life: he worked hard and played hard. He coached each child as if they were his own. Lou was a man of few words, but when he spoke, it was deliberate, honest and fair. He lived a life striving to be strong and courageous, soft hearted, humble, kind and with the love of God.
Oh Lou, how truly blessed we were to be part of your life! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey! We will love you forever, gone but never forgotten!
An outdoor Celebration of Life is being planned for May 2022 (date and location TBD)
