On Tuesday July 8, 2014 after a long and courageous struggle with COPD the Lord in His mercy called Lois Klooster home to be with Him. Born on January 1, 1929 the second of five siblings to Sietse and Geertje Haisma in Donkerbroek Friesland, Nederland she immigrated to Lethbridge where she married Sint Klooster on November 11, 1952. They then moved to Rocky Mountain House, AB and in 1974 to Abbotsford, BC. A devoted wife and much loved mother and grandmother she will be remembered for her gentle care and understanding, her undying faith and her courage in the face of adversity. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Sint in 2003, brother Martin Haisma; granddaughter Rebecca Klooster; and son-in-law Martin Wikkerink. She will be lovingly missed by her children, son Henry (Carla) of Leduc, AB, daughter Glenda Wikkerink of Leduc, AB and son Sid (Melissa) of Abbotsford, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters Jantje (Jane) Veenbaas of Abbotsford, BC, Anneke Wynia of Hamilton, ON and Akke Schapelhouwman of Oostewolde Friesland, numerous nephews and nieces.

A family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 followed by a Memorial Service at 1:30 at Immanual Covenant Reformed Church (URC) located at 35063 Page Rd., Abbotsford, Rev. James Greendyk officiating. Personal Alternatives Funeral Home, Aldergrove in charge of arrangements.
