KONDRATIEW, Leon. It is with great sadness that we announce that Leon Kondratiew of Abbotsford, BC, passed away on May the 8th, 2012 with his wife and son by his side. Leon was born in Warsaw, Poland on October 29th, 1960 and came to Canada in 1986. While Leon always called Abbotsford home, for the last sixteen years he worked internationally for DSI as a Supervisor on the construction of suspension bridges. Leon is survived by his beloved wife, Hanna, his son, Saturnin and his cherished dogs, Ben and Bruiser. He was predeceased by his father Gleb and mother Helena. A celebration of Leon's life will be held on Saturday, May the 12th, 2012 at 11:30 in the morning at the Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road in Abbotsford. Memorial donations in Leon's honor may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or the local SPCA.
