KATHRYN KOEHN
1919 - 2010
Kathryn Koehn slipped peacefully into the presence of her Lord in the early hours of August 11, 2010 at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She was born to Cornelius and Catherine Weins, the 3rd of 7 children on February 17, 1919 in Kresekof, Russia. Her family emigrated to Canada in 1926. After her marriage to Peter Koehn in 1940, they lived for many years in Greendale BC, before eventually retiring to Clearbrook BC.
Kathryn leaves behind to mourn, her 4 children, Jean (Jake) Rempel, Gail (Herb) Schroeder, Gary (Carolyn), Randy (Brenda), 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren, sister Bonny and brothers John and Rudy. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Carole Anne Rempel in 1982, by her husband Peter in 1995, and her brother Jake and her sisters Mary and Betty.
A viewing will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford on August 16, 2010 from 7-9 PM. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 17 at the McClure Road Cemetery at 11 AM followed by a service celeb-rating the life of our mother, grandmother, and sister at the Bakerview MB Church at 1:30 PM.
