John passed away peacefully on January 24, 2005 at the age of 72 years. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Downton in 1993. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 48 years Patricia; 5 children Michael (Julia), Maureen (Larry) Olson, Shane (Teresa), Jim (Shirley) and Glen (Sophia), and by 20 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Terrace at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation in his memory would be appreciated.
