In Loving Memory ~
John Marshal Peter McLoughlin passed away at age 59 on November 18, 2021 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital after a prolonged hospital stay. John was born in Vancouver on Jan 20, 1962 to parents Dorothy McMann and Peter McLoughlin.
John graduated high school in Mission and studied Biology at UBC. He had short term projects in biology but thereafter received his Qualification in the Trade of Plaster, and worked with stucco for 32 years with Cement Masons Local 919.
Moving where the work was, John made friends throughout BC. He was happy and thankful, looking for goodness wherever he lived.
John loved music and spent time making music wherever he could. He volunteered at The Salvation Army Gateway of Hope in Langley, and The Centre of Hope in Abbotsford.
He is survived by his brother Michael Patrick McLoughlin (sister-in-law Grace) and Aunt Patricia McMann. He is remembered by Step Mom Joan McLatchy and family as well as his Gerbrandt in-laws.
He married Fay (nee Gerbrandt)-McLoughlin in 1995. She credits the miracle of their marriage to his stubborn Irish heritage, ability to bring calm and the best in others. He was a loving, devoted, and compassionate Christian husband and friend. To John's family and friends, Fay expresses she is "Deeply Sorry for Your Loss" and is thankful for all the love and support through this time.
He will be celebrated at The Salvation Army Willows Family Life Center on March 20, 2022 at 1pm.
