HAWTHORNE; John Frances (Jack). 1946 ~ 2014. On Monday, July 7th, a beautiful sunny, summer day, when he should have been on the back 9 of Grand Pines Golf course or throwing a fishing line in at Lester Beach, Jack passed away at Selkirk General Hospital, after a courageous struggle with mesothelioma (asbestos related cancer). Jack will be forever missed by his loving wife of 44 years Pat (nee McBurney): his children David and Tory and John and Rhonda; and his grandchildren, Jesse, Jake and Harriet; his siblings and their families. Family was everything. His wonderful grandchildren were a gift and gave him so much joy. We, his family, cannot imagine life without him and his love. Jack will be sadly missed and will remain forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Jack's life was held on Friday, July 11th, 2014 at 1:30 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, (across from Brookside Cemetery).
