CHRANOWS; Jessie Vivian
Born November 26, 1927 in Abbotsford; passed away October 9, 2014 in Penticton. Jessie is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Richards; granddaughter, Jamie (Sid) Steiner; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, James, David and Ray Lampson; sisters, Lucille Piddock, Charlotte Jacobson and Nancy Walker as well as numerous extended family and friends. She was predeceased by husband A. D. Chranows and the love of her life, Stanley Walt, as well as 2 older sisters, May Patterson and Peggy Kawaza. Jessie had a fulfilling career in nursing but found her most satisfying work as a supervisor at the South Caribou Health Centre before retiring. Always the farmer’s daughter, she had a great affection for cows. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother by her family. Special thanks to the staff of Summerland Senior’s Village, especially to Naomi, for the wonderful care in recent years. A family gathering to remember Jessie will be held at a later date.
