KOPONEN; James
James Koponen, late of Abbotsford, BC, passed away on June 12, 2016. James was sweet, caring, kind, loving, funny, strong, and brave and had the biggest heart. He was always smiling, always happy despite what life threw at him. He was strong like his beautiful mother, caring and a little crazy like his amazing aunt, nurturing like his wonderful moo moo and papa, and he had a back bone and a great sense of humour like his Uncle Jay. The times I saw him happiest, there’s so many to remember, was when he was with his beautiful girlfriend, Vanessa, who was his whole world, moon and all the stars in his galaxy of life. He was also happiest on that bike of his, going too fast and scaring everyone everyday but loving life and the thrill of the freedom he felt. He found joy being at the river for hours on end, days even, with his closest friends and family, kicking it back and enjoying a cold one. I hope that’s what he’s doing now. There’s so much to say and remember about the amazing soul that was James Koponen, and that’s how I know he will live on forever, in spirit and in soul. James, you were an amazing man, and the world is a sad place without you in it, but you’re looking down on us all, and protecting those you left behind. You will be missed by all your family and friends. Forever in our hearts. Gone but never forgotten. Your legacy will live on.
