RENPENNING - (Maria) Irene. April 1939 - November 2011. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Maria Irene Renpenning. Irene passed away in Abbotsford on November 11, 2011 at the age of 72 years. She is survived by her brother David (Lillian), nephew Darwin (Margo), niece Denise (Randy), 5 grandnephews, one grandniece and 2 great grand nephews. Irene was predeceased by her father, John Renpenning, mother, Elisabeth Renpenning and nephew, David A. Renpenning. Irene was born in Cuahtemoc, Mexico. In 1952 she moved to Clearbrook, BC with her family. After living and working in Abbotsford for several years Irene moved to Williams Lake where she made many friends and worked in a variety of different businesses. Irene owned and operated Celebrations Plus where she spent many hours creating joy for others with her beautiful balloon arches and floral arrangements. Irene was fluent in English, Spanish and German. She loved to travel and have new adventures. Becoming very interested in Genealogy, she created a cherished Family Book as a legacy to her love of life and the importance of family. Irene will be remembered by her many friends and family as a feisty and hardworking woman that was loving, caring, generous, a gracious hostess and a marvelous cook and vintner. A celebration of Irene's life will be held Tuesday, Nov. 29th 2-4pm at Silverwood Manor. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
