Hilda passed away on the morning of October 18 at the tender age of 101 years. Born on December 2, 1905 in Leicester, England and immigrated to Canada as a child.
Hilda had a love for children and worked in an orphanage in her younger years. Upon moving to Abbotsford she worked at the Mill Lake Store for a short time. She then went to the Gilmore Dry Goods Store for the duration of her career. Hilda was a very loving, caring and most generous lady. Her great sense of humour and quick wit stayed with her to the end.
Many thanks for the staff at the Ebenezer Home for the love and kindness they showed for Hilda. Also to the ladies of the Calvin Presbyterian Church.
