Henk van Steenis, my beloved husband and our loving father, grandfather and great grand-
father of Abbotsford passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007 into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Henk was born in Holland and immigrated to Canada in the summer of 1969. He started up his own upholstery business a few years later were he made many life long friends. He was well liked and respected by his family, friends and many customers. One of his passions was gardening, he loved his plants and many flowers, his second passion was his tuba which he loved to sit and play for anyone. His main passion in life was to spread the word of God.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Connie, of 50 years; son Eric (Linda); daughter Simone (Randall); grandchildren Kirtus (Julie), Tina (David), John, Clayton, Jesse and Olivia; great grandÂchildren, Jacob, Evah and Katie.
Viewing will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd. on Monday, Aug. 20, 2007 from 7:30 to 9 pm. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “The Bridges for Peace” organization.
