CHERVENKA Helena (Nellie) Alice.

nee Keep. July 1, 1932 - May 5, 2012

Nellie passed away peacefully early morning in the care of Mission's Christine Morrison Hospice. Predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Wally, (2005) and siblings Charlie, Bernice and Betty. Nellie's loss is deeply felt by her loving latterday partner Doug and all who knew her and carry fond memories of her spirited life. Survived by her children Tim (Cathy), Tina (Gerry), Tony, Tami (Robert), Tana (Rick) and Twila. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Lisa, Chad, Taya, Candice, Ashley, and Codie, as well as her dear great grandchildren. Loving memories of Nellie are cherished by her siblings; Robert, Richard, Jack, Kitty and Doug. Nellie was born in Punnichy, Saskatchewan on the Keep homestead and moved to Mission in 1942. Her early marriage years were also spent in Prince George and Williams Lake before finally resettling in Mission in the early 70's. Nellie's particular loves were her birds, gardening and flowers. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nursing Staff of Abbotsford Regional Hospital who attended Nellie's needs these last months and expresses deep appreciation for the final touching care she received at Mission Hospice. A memorial gathering will be held at the Mission Elk's Hall, Monday, May 14 th, at 11:00 a.m. All friends and acquaintances are welcome.
