July 30, 1936 - March 14, 2020
It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Harry Froese into the presence of his Lord on March 14, 2020 age 83.
Harry was born in Winnipeg, the sixth son and eighth child of the twelve children of Cornelius and Maria Froese. The family moved to Abbotsford when Harry was nine years old. Harry attended South Poplar Elementary, MEI and Columbia Bible School.
Harry married the love of his life, Irma (Bergmann) on August 17, 1957 in Greendale MB Church. They began their life together in Vancouver and in a few years they welcomed their first child, Randy into their home. A move to Abbotsford followed and son Larry and daughter, Jeanette completed the family. Harry loved hunting and fishing and he and Irma enjoyed exploring BC in their RV and spending time with friends and family.
Harry's career began as a driver for Pacific Meats in Vancouver; in Abbotsford he worked for Valley Rite Mix, Wall and Redekop Feeds. In the final years he managed "The Farm," the property on North Parallel Road which became the hub of his growing family. Harry was there to offer support, encouragement and advice through all generations.
It seems fitting that Harry spent his final moments at the farm, checking for wind damage, always vigilant, even though retired. It will not be the same there without him.
Harry was predeceased by his son Randy. He leaves a lifetime of love and memories for Irma, his wife of 62 years. Also mourning the loss are son Larry, and grandson Michael Froese (Melissa); and daughter Jeanette Boschmann (Ingo) their five children: Julie (Abhai Mulder "Jake"), Darren (Jen), Jeff (Tish), Jon (Mieke), and Danny, and six great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank friends, family and many acquaintances for their love and support during these difficult days.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
