Harry Edward Neal, April 3, 1918 - June 10, 2004.

Abbotsford resident Harry Neal, passed away peacefully on June the 10th, 2004 at Langley Memorial Hospital, at the age of 86. He is survived by his two daughters, Doreen (Tom) McMillan of Abbotsford and Val (Mike) Nilson of Surrey and his four grandchildren Deanna (Murray) Martin, Geoff Nilson, Kimberley and Terri McMillan.

Harry is also survived by his one sister, Doreen (Armand) Denicola of Prince George and his brothers Vic (Ethel) Neal of Surrey and Dick (Ede) Neal of St. Albert, Alberta as well as many other relatives and friends across Canada, England and Wales.

He is predeceased by his Beautiful Brown Eyes, Mollie, his brothers Cyril and Charlie and his sister Violet.

Born in Virden, Manitoba, Harry travelled to Norhtern B.C. by rail in the thirties. He joined the armed forces in the forties where he lost his right hand, but not his spirit.

In England, on a visit to his brother Dick, he found love with Mollie and the two married on February 14, 1953. they travelled to and lived in Prince George, B.C. until 1980 when they moved to Abbotsford. Harry was an avid Scoutmaster, traveller, fisherman, baker, stamp collector and bocce ball player, among many other varied eccentricities that we all loved. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Henderson's Funeral Home in Abbotsford at 1 p.m. on June 24th. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to one of Harry's four favourite charities; The War Amputees of Canada, the MS Society of Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
