SMITH; Gilbert William. Born April 13, 1925 in Lunenburg, NS. He passed away peacefully November 7, 2013. Gilbert will be sadly missed by wife Marion, daughters Lynne Smith and Judy (Glenn) Gadicke and grandsons Jason & Tyler. Also mourning the loss will be many family and friends in Nova Scotia. Gilbert spent many years on the east coast in both Lunenburg and Halifax. Marrying in 1957, he and Marion moved to BC in 1958. They lived in Victoria for 12 years before settling in Abbotsford in 1971. Gilbert enjoyed travelling having worked on the east coast sailing from Halifax to Jamaica in his younger years. Travelling back and forth across Canada numerous times to visit family and friends. They also had adventures to Europe and Asia in their retirement years. The family is grateful for the care received at ARH Cheam 3 and at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission.
