Gertrude Madonna Hansen passed away peacefully in Victoria on December 4, 2003 in her 91st year. Born in Waldeck, Saskatchewan, Gertrude will be lovingly remembered by her family; Joan, Dick, Greg & Chris, her brother, Jake, and numerous relatives and friends. A high school music teacher and award-winning choral conductor.
Gertrude taught in Mission for many years, then taught French later in Vancouver, before retiring to Victoria.
A memorial service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive on Monday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations if desired to Alzheimer's Society of B.C.
