Gerald George McGee

February 24, 1949 - February 21, 2019
Gerry passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 21st, 2019. He was predeceased by his parents Doug and Aleda McGee. He is survived by his partner Cathy, son Craig (Tammy), daughter Allison (Bill), sister Carol, brother Dale and grandchildren; Derek, Ryan, Amelia and Lochlan along with his niece and nephews.
Gerry was born in Saskatoon, SK on February 24, 1949 and moved to BC in 1969 to begin his career in the RCMP. He served in Cloverdale, Whalley, Vancouver, Nelson, Prince George, Abbotsford and Mission. Gerry retired from the force in 1994 after 26 years and then operated McGee Investigations until 2016. Gerry loved skiing, photography, classic cars, winter get aways to Hawaii and hockey where he spent many years behind the bench in Nelson and Prince George coaching minor hockey. Gerry made many life long friends over the years and enjoyed doing things like fishing, hunting and hot rodding with them.
Our family is forever grateful for the care he received from Hawthorne Care Center and Czorny Alzheimer's Center over the past year. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 30th 2019 at 11 am at The Rancho, 35110 Delair Road, Abbotsford, BC.
