On Friday, August 22, 2003 at 3:15 p.m. at Mission Memorial Hospital, George went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, after a brief battle with cancer.
George was born in Vancouver, B.C. on June 22, 1927 where he lived and worked most of his life in construction. George was predeceased by his loving wife Doreen.
He is survived by his four children Patrick, Sherry (Roger) Moisan, Colleen (Perry) Talkkari and Michael; grandchildren Allen, Timmy, Richard, Troy, Bradley and Jennifer; and great-grandchildren Jonathon, Bradley, Jaynee and Allayah.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mission Alliance Church, 34203 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission, B.C.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Randy Siemens, the Palliative Care staff, the Emergency Admission staff and the Mission Hospice volunteer for their outstanding care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
