Fred was born in Kelowna BC on May 4th 1929, the 4th of 9 children born to Frederick and Lillian Seifred. He married Evelyn Goertz in 1952 and together they had two children, the twins, Brad and Lori. He is predeceased by his son Bradley and his wife Evelyn and survived by his daughter Lori Funk and her husband Walter.
Fred owned a filbert farm on Vye Road near the community of Arnold for most of his life and also started MSA Roofing.
Fred had a heart for service and for many years he assisted with funeral hospitality at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly and also drove a bus transporting seniors, ESL and CNIB to many events. Fred and Evelyn also assisted at the Kidney Dialysis Center serving coffee and cookies to dialysis recipients for many years.
Fred was also an avid traveler and his favourite vacation spot was the Fountain of Youth just outside of Palm Springs, California where he and Evelyn spent many of their winters.
We are very grateful to the East 2 staff at Menno Home for the excellent care that they provided for our Dad. His last words to us were...
"I'll see you all in heaven"!
