Fred Loewen

September 25, 1940 - November 3, 2018
Fred Loewen born Sept 25,1940 to Agnes ( Anganetha ) and Isaak Loewen in Neuendorf, Ukraine. He came to Canada, September 3,1949 and passed away on November 3, 2018 leaving to mourn his wife, Carol D. Loewen and children: Dan (Rocky), Peter (Yoshimi), Becky, plus step-children Amy (Kevin), Steve (Sherida), Greg (Candice),Tim (Vanessa), Jen (Hamid) and numerous grandchildren. Siblings are Helen Leschied, Agnes Ferngren who predeceased Fred, plus Katie Loewen and brother-in-laws, Bill Leschied and Gary Ferngren plus Fred's last aunt, Annie Kessenich.

Fred was known for his direct approach, his love of teaching the sciences in high school and love of teaching Bible lessons in Sunday School. He daily read the Bible and gained much information and light from it, consequently he impacted others. Fred spent hours each week volunteering and playing chess with his chess buddies. Woodwork was another fascination, which produced chess sets, small tables, foot stools and so on.

We are thankful for the faithful visitors, doctors and Nightingales who tenderly cared for and encouraged him in hospital and in Holmberg House. God bless you and keep you.

Celebration of Life to be held Wednesday, November 14/2018 at 1:00 pm in Central Heights Church, 1661 McCallum Road, Abbotsford, BC.
