Ewald, 90 years of age, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25th at 1:30 pm at Bethel Community Church, Gladwin Road, Abbotsford.
Ewald was born in Groningen, The Netherlands on October 11, 1933 and had 5 siblings. He and his wife Nettie immigrated to Canada in 1963 and settled in the lower mainland.
He is survived by his children, Mike (Zuzana) and Joanne (Rick), and six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild due in a few months.
Ewald loved the outdoors and enjoyed bike riding and taking long walks almost everyday, even in his 90th year. He worked hard for his family and was a loving father and grandfather.
The family of Ewald would like to thank the staff and community at Menno Home for their condolences and the kind stories they shared about how Ewald made a positive difference in their lives.
