HAMMERMEISTER Emilie (nee Schroeder)
Dec. 23, 1922 - June 24, 2012. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emilie, beloved wife and mother, on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the age of 89. But there is also joy that she has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour. She married Oswald Hammermeister in 1953 and they lived in Vancouver for the last 53 years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising two daughters. She loved going to church and ladies club meetings. For many years she volunteered by paying weekly visits to several women in the German Canadian Care Home. She will be greatly missed by her husband Oswald and daughters Linda (Erich) and Selma (Arnold). She also leaves behind a much loved grandson, Jonathan. A funeral will be held on Friday, June 29 at Culloden MB Church at 6060 Culloden Street, Vancouver, BC at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing at the church before the service.
