FRENCH. Elsie Joyce. Oct. 5, 1925 ~ June 4, 2011. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Elsie French, on June 4, 2011. Predeceased by her husband, Clifford, in 2000, she leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Joyce and Jan (Don); grandchildren, Ryan, Pat (Mika) and Jon (Karen), as well as precious great grandchildren, Tehya and Huxley. Mom lived in Winnipeg, MB and moved to Abbotsford, BC in 1988 with Dad. After he passed away, mom strengthened her friendships with dear neighbours at Summerset Place, enjoying many happy hours spent together. Mom lived at Bevan Lodge for the past two years and we are thankful for the caring staff that became an extended family to ours during the past few months. We are also grateful for the compassionate care givers to mom at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Greg Culp and to nurses, Candace and Melanie, for their support and empathy on that night. A private family service will be held in remembrance of our dear mom. If friends so desire, a donation in memory of mom may be made to the charity of your choice. "Keep your arms around her Lord and give her special care.
