January 12, 1946 - January 14, 2024
It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of my bride, Elaine Anne Smith, at the age of 78 years. She passed away quietly in her sleep.
Elaine is survived by her husband Rick Smith, her children Rick Shmanka and Cindy Chatt, step son Kevin Smith, Grandchildren Kelsey and Tyler Chatt, Darla Taylor, Nolan Shmanka, Christopher, and Chantel Chapman, Great Grandchildren Austin, Riley and Leah Chapmen, Logan Taylor and Brooklyn Chatt.
She was predeceased by her son, Kevin Shmanka and his wife Christine Kam, her step daughter Penny Shmanka and her step daughter Kerri Angela Smith.
Elaine was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 45 years and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2726 in Abbotsford for 11 years where she served as trustee for a few years.
A special thanks to the Nurses, Care Aides, and Kitchen staff at the Tabor Long Term Care Home for the special care given to Elaine during the past year and a half.

The celebration of Life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall on March 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm. The address is 33868 Essendene Ave. Abbotsford, BC.
