Jesus came to carry Eileen Rose Cowell into eternal rest on Thursday April 16, 2020.
For 96 years Eileen had been a devoted daughter to William & Ellen Grieve and the youngest of 11 siblings. Eileen was the beloved wife to Ken Cowell (2015) for 7 decades and loving mother to Carolyn (Bruce) Johnson, Scott (Patti) Cowell and Miriam (Scott) Tolhurst. She has prayed and cared for 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Eileen was born in Brantford, Ontario March 2, 1924. She met Ken just before WW2 and they married in 1945. Together they made their home in Ontario, Alberta, California and British Columbia. Her faith in Christ was the compass of her life. It shaped the way she cared for her family, served in churches and extended acts of generosity. Eileen loved her Lord and prayed that others would share that same devotion.
A family graveside service will be held Friday, April 24, at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Tabor Village Capital Campaign. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all at Tabor Court Abbotsford BC, for their kind and considerate support and care.
