EDWIN HIGGINBOTTOM

Edwin Pierre Higginbottom, born December 28, 1918 in Vancouver, B.C., passed away March 7, 2003, in Mission, B.C.


Ed served with the Seaforth Highlanders in Canada, the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean & Continental Europe, during WW11. He then joined the Provincial Police in 1946 and was a Constable for 4 years, he was discharged to the R.C.M.P. on amalgamation with that force and served with them from August 1950 to November 1966 in Nanaimo, Vancouver and Mission. Ed moved his family to Mission in 1954 and stayed here to retire to his acreage and garden.

Ed was member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #57 and Elks Lodge #30.


He leaves to mourn, his wife of 57 years, Marie, daughters; Tara, Dawn (Doug), grandsons; Vincent (Shannon) and Wesley, grandaughter; Summer and good friend Paul Buttle.


A Celebration of Life will be held March 14, at 2 p.m. at the Elks Hall, 2nd Ave., Mission.
