March 13, 1934 - August 12, 2022
Ted Wandfluh was born on March 13, 1934, in Chilliwack. The oldest of four boys raised on a dairy farm, Ted worked in sawmills during the early 1950's, before returning to farming.
In 1956, Ted met Annemarie Lee; it was love at first sight and they were married on March 1, 1958.
Ted and Anne raised their four children, Shirley (Nick), Belinda (John), Ted Jr. (Kari) and Diane (Doug) on their McDermott Road farm, purchased in 1962. In 1996, when Ted Jr. took over the farm management, Ted and Anne moved to Gladwin Towers in Abbotsford.
After several years of contributing to the field work, Ted fully retired in 2005. Throughout their retirement, Ted and Anne enjoyed travelling all over Canada, the U.S. and Mexico in their "Swiss Star" motorhome.
Ted and Anne were blessed with many grandchildren: Blaire (Kristina), Vince, Randal, Mitch (Breanne), Carmen, Jolene (Cam), Colin (Robyn), Taylor, Sydney (Ben), Tori, Dustin (Courtney), and Cody, as well as fifteen great grandchildren. Ted was pre-deceased by his beloved Annie (2017), grandsons Randal and Cody and great-grandchildren Ava and Austin.
He lived the remainder of his years in Abbotsford, surrounded by family, playing cards and was much adored by his devoted homecare friend, Ashley Hamilton. Ted's family will be honoring his life in an intimate private manner; we invite everyone who loved him to celebrate Ted's life in meaningful way of their own.
