It is with great sadness I announce the passing of my mother. Donna was released from her courageous battle with cancer at Christine Morrison Hospice, with her daughter by her side. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Michelle Friend, granddaughter Angela Friend, other family members and friends. She spent a good portion of her life living in Abbotsford. Donna worked as a hairdresser where she formed many relationships with her clients. She enjoyed the smiles she got, making her clients look beautiful and handsome.
I will miss getting my haircut.
She loved to travel to tropical places, read novels and garden on her deck which brought her many hours of gratification and happiness. A celebration of my Mom's life will be held on Sept. 7, 2014, 3 to 7 pm at Garden Park Towers 2825 Clearbrook Road. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society under Donna's name.
