February 22, 1949 - June 13, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother and Memere Claire Jean. After a courageous battle with Cancer, Claire passed peacefully with her family by her side on June 13 at the age of 69 at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
Claire leaves behind her husband Denis, her two daughters and their Spouses: Nicole (Mich) Riopelle and Nadine (Steve) Cornwall, 6 Grand Children: Ashley, Alyssa, Savannah, Kayla, Kurtis and Emily as well as her 5 Sisters and 4 Brothers.
Claire was born on February 22, 1949 to Roch and Ida Fontaine in St. Paul Alberta. She married Denis Jean in 1968 and together they moved across Canada while he served in the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1991, they settled in Abbotsford, BC surrounded by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a date yet to be determined.
Claire's Family would like to express their appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses in the Palliative Care Unit at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital as well as all their Family and Friends who supported Claire and her loved ones at this tough time.
