Christoph von Hammerstein passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2003 in Mission, B.C. Chris was born on April 21, 1925 in Germany and emigrated to Canada in 1953.
Chris will be lovingly remembered by his wife Catherine (Katha), daughter Dorothea (Ivan) Sigurdson; son George (Shelley); son-in-law Willian Hepler; five grandchildren Chrissy, Laura and Lisa Sigurdson, and Daniel and Eric Hepler; sister Irmgard Weingart in Germany; brother Hans-Werner in Nova Scotia; and many relatives and friends.
Chris was predeceased by his daughter Margaret Hepler in 2000 and his brother Heribert in 1994.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 32420 - 7th Avenue, Mission, B.C. Private interment at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Surrey, B.C. at a later date.
