It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my daughter, Catherine Rose (Balne) McLeod on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Mission Memorial Hospital in her 45th year.
Catherine was predeceased by her step-father Robert McLeod in 1983 and many relatives. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her mother, Rose Marie McLeod; her aunt Dianne Harck; her cousin Michelle Harck; and her uncles Sid Rosenberg, Doug McLeod and step grandmother Ruby McLeod; special friends Pete and Cindy Handler, and many other friends, also furry friends Toby and Misty who made her so happy in her last days.
Her courage and bravery as she dealt with her colon cancer was awe inspiring to those who were fortunate to share this journey with her. A celebration of Catherine’s life was held at her bedside before she passed so she would know just how truly loved she was and how much we would miss her.
I would like to thank We Care services, FV Home Care Nurses, the wonderful nurses on the second floor at Mission Hospital and Dr. T. Bjerke and Dr. L. Potter, for treating my daughter with dignity and giving her the best care that any mother would want for their child. If any, donations to the Humane Society in Mission would be appreciated.
