Carl W. JOHNSON

Carl W., passed away quietly on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 in Raymond, AB after a long battle with blood cancer. He was born July 16, 1922 in Bromhead, Sask, to Carl Emil Johnson and Esther Mann. While serving in WW II he married Esther Verna Hague in Woodstock, Ontario, on March 14, 1942.

Carl was a man of all trades but his main trade was a carpenter and construction worker.

He is survived by his wife Esther Verna Johnson of Raymond, and nine of their children: Diane (Robin) of Vernon, BC, Alex (Dorothy) of Moosejaw, Sask, Mary (Lincoln) of Walnut Grove, BC, Mark (Mig) of Bolton, Ontario, Kris of Chilliwack, BC, Athena (Bob) of Raymond, AB Reed (Elaine) of Orono, Ontario, Rob of Chilliwack, BC, Nadine of Raymond, AB. Carl had 37 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and three more on the way. His sisters Ida Allen, Elsie Mulholland, and Fay Nordin also survived him.

He was preceded in death by his son Timothy, parents, brothers Aubrey, David, Robert, and sister Mary.

Carl will be remembered for his hard work and witty sayings. Kind acts of service to his children and grandchildren will also be cherished. All those who knew him will forever remember him for his dedication to his church, his family, and friends.
