Cade was born September 5, 2002 in Abbotsford, B.C. to Steve and Brenda Knight. He passed into the presence of Jesus in the early hours of April 3, 2003 while his mother held him in her arms.
Cade was a healthy 9 lbs. 7.5 oz. when he was born, however two days after his birth this dear little fellow had still not had a bowel movement.
Cade was transferred to Children's Hospital in Vancouver. Cade was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and over the next seven months underwent four major surgeries, many procedures, and dozens of radiology studies to get his system working. All was in vain.
Cade leaves behind his Mom and Dad, Steve and Brenda Knight, three sisters, Makiah (6), Nyrie (4), and Reagen (3), as well as grandparents Glen and Clara Knight of Saanich, B.C. and Sam and Grace Schartner of Abbotsford, B.C.
Speical thanks to the Medical team at Children's Hospital and to all who have prayed and offered support for Cade and the family during these trying months.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 11, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. at Northview Community Church, 32040 Downes Road, Abbotsford, with Rev. Scott Fortnum officiating the service. Anyone interested in viewing can do so prior to the service.
