TENNANT; Bruce David. Dec. 26, 1951 ~ Nov. 14, 2013. It is with great sadness that we announce Bruce's passing after 61 years of life. Bruce worked at CP Railway for 36 years before retiring in 2009. He was well known in Mission, having worked the West Coast Express as a Conductor for many years prior to his retirement. He had many interests including fishing, camping and karate. Bruce earned a third degree black belt in the Isshin Ryu style of karate at the Mission Isshin Ryu Karate Club. After retirement, Bruce suffered from a number of health issues that culminated in his passing on November 14th in the Abbotsford Hospital with his family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife Lucienne, his daughter Dael, his son Alex (Rea), his grandchildren, Dairien and Lachlan, Tyson, Jaxson and Maxximus, his brother Paul, his sisters Barb and Suzy, his nieces and nephews; and his extended family Pat, Barb, Doug, Mike and Stewart, as well as his many friends. He was predeceased by his mother Betty and father Walt. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at the Woodlawn Mission Funeral Chapel, 7386 Horne Street, Mission, BC at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 22nd. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations in Bruce's memory be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
