BROWNE; Bruce Cory

March 5, 1963 ~ December 10, 2015

Bruce Browne passed away peacefully on the early morning hours of December 10, 2015 in his home at 52 years of age. Bruce lived bravely and courageously with a condition called Marfan Syndrome. He never let this medical condition define who he was. He was a Business Owner, a Logger, Occupational Safety Officer, Team Lead, Foster Parent and is remembered as "Duty Dad" at Clayburn Middle School. He ended his career as a Loss Prevention Officer and Safety Manager at Otter Co-op. His first heart surgery was a success at VGH in November 1981. Bruce endured many more surgeries in the next 31 years. He was predeceased by parents Thomas Bevan Browne in 1973 and Joyce Ann Linea Browne in 2000 and his younger brother and business co-owner Paul Daniel Browne in 2006. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Lori Anne Browne; 2 children, son Jonathan Browne and daughter Alicia Browne, brother Thomas Browne (Jennifer), many nieces, nephews, Aunt Norma Even, Uncle Hank Even, great aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to thank all friends, Connie Marsten, the Tingley family, the Konrad family and Otter Co-op for the preparation and support for the memorial that was held at the Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly held on December 15th. Also, thank you for all the flowers and support from other family, friends, the staff of the Blackwood's Building Centre, The Vancouver Convention Centre, United Letterlock, and WestGen. A dedication will be taking place at Mill Lake in Abbotsford, (time and date will be announced soon). A GoFundMe fundraiser has been a success and is now complete. In lieu of further flowers please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
