McDONALD; Brianne Setsuko
It is with profound sorrow, we announce the tragic passing of Brianne, on February 11, 2016, at the age of 27. She is predeceased by her grandfather, Jim McDonald, grandmother Setsuko (Liz) Yokoyama, Aunt Barbara Beharrell and cousin Russell Beharrell. She is survived by her loving parents, Stuart and Colleen, brother Colin, grandmother Annie McDonald, uncles and aunts, John and Sharon Yokoyama, Murray and Jeanette McDonald, cousins Jo-Anne, Pat and Avery McGurk, Katherine McDonald, Ken, Bobbi, Madison and Taylor McDonald. Brianne graduated from Rick Hansen Secondary in 2006 and was presently enrolled at UFV taking the Practical Nursing Program, she would have finished in June. While going to school full time, she also worked part time at A.V.P., a veterinary supply company. During her childhood Brianne was involved in various activities. One was music. At the age of 8, she started piano lessons at the Sound of Music, and over the years won many awards at recitals. She also enjoyed playing sports. She played soccer with the Abbotsford Association for many years, then the Clearbrook F.C. Jr. ladies team which won the Gold Cup in the Provincial Tournament. The last couple years she returned to play with the women's soccer team "Lightning." Her other sport, which was her favourite, was softball (fast pitch). She started at the age of 5-19 and played with the Abbotsford Association as well as the Bradner Community Club. Then she carried on playing Jr. ladies with the team, Abby Chaos, then Abby Fireballs and then finally her current team, Abby Chargers. Throughout these years she met and made many lifelong friends. We will miss her smile, that hearty laugh but mostly just her presence. Our family would like to thank all of our friends for giving us comfort and support during these dark days. Words cannot express our gratitude. Come join us for a Celebration of Brianne's Life on March 10, 2016 at Bradner Hall - 5305 Bradner Rd., Abbotsford, BC, at 1:00 pm.
