It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Art, a loving husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother and friend on March 30, 2021.
Dad was born September 25, 1939 in Abbotsford, BC and lived a full and meaningful life to the age of 81.
He is survived by his loving wife Joan, his three children; Jeff (Barb), Brenda (Rob), Darryl (Karen), eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
Art spent his early years working in construction throughout BC and in his early 30's purchased his first farm. They were producers of raspberries and hatching eggs until 1992 and continued farming broilers until 2005. He fully retired at the age of 65.
Art got his greatest pleasure from his family. He loved spending time watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play their sports. His greatest qualities were to offer gentle guidance, support, and love to us all. He had a great sense of humour and loved to make people laugh.
He would do anything for anybody. He was very generous, always wanting to help the less fortunate. He spent the last few years in his shop building birdhouses and enjoyed working in his garden. Dad touched many people's lives and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Due to restrictions, a small, private service was held on April 6, 2021.
