Annie Brown, born 1916, wife of the late Henry F. Brown, died after a short illness at Sherwood Crescent Manor on June 12, 2007. She was most recently of Evergreen Village on Old Yale Rd. She and Henry were originally homesteading pioneers of Clearbrook Road. N. in the early 1930’s. Later they lived in Matsqui, and Kelowna, then again back in Clearbrook. Annie loved being active with quilting groups in her church, also creating blankets for third world countries at Helping Hands. She was a wonderful mother, mentor, friend, deaconess with eyes and hands open to meet needs, borne of a strong Christian commitment. Annie was predeceased by her husband Henry in 2002, two sons Benny and Ernie, and all her siblings except one sister Minnie Reimer. Remaining to celebrate a wonderful life and invaluable heritage are her children Arnold (Bernice), Martha Loewen, Walter (Irene), Herb (Dorie). John (Evelyn), David, Caroline (Hermann) Matis and Marilyn (Ron) Yorke; 26 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at Clearbrook MB Church on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. Viewing will take place on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 7:30-9:00 pm from Woodlawn Funeral Home.
