March 8, 1941 - February 28, 2024
Our beloved Peggy Christensen passed away on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 after living with Alzheimer's for several years.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Lawrence; children, Philip (Susan), Jennifer, and Natalie; and grandchildren, Evan and Gracie.
Peggy is predeceased by her brothers, Phillipe and Paul; parents Emile and Yvette; brother[1]in-law Francis Bradley; and father and mother[1]in-law Otto and Violet.
Of French descent, Peggy was born in Cairo, Egypt on March 8th, 1941. She immigrated to Canada in 1962 and met Lawrence at the University of British Columbia in 1963, marrying in 1964.
Together they lived a life full of love and adventure. Peggy devoted much of her time volunteering with Christian ministries including Christian Women's and Youth with a Mission (YWAM), giving herself to nurturing the well-being of others.
A celebration of Peggy's life will be held at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969 - 216th Street, on Friday, March 8th at 3pm.
