Anna Reese passed away peacefully on the evening of October 17, 2007 at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford. Anna was 94 years and will be lovingly remembered. Anna was predeceased by one sister, and seven brothers, her husband Roy and one granddaughter, Lynette, daughter of Anna’s eldest son. She is survived, by three sons, 5 grandÂchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Ron and his wife Marilyn, their son Paul, and his wife Gayleen, and son Matt. Wayne and his wife Gwen, their daughter Melody Hirsch and her husband Jeremy, and children, Brayden, Jared and Janaya. Orland and his wife Ann, children, Sharalynn, and daughter Alina, David and wife Emily and sons Matthew and Colin, Brian and his wife Susie.
Anna had a very happy childhood riding horseback each day to school with her brothers. Anna moved to Saskatoon at the age of 14 to attend high school and then trained to be a hairdresser. She loved hairdressing and continued doing hair until she was 85 years old. Anna married Roy Reese in 1938. Roy was working with the International Harvester Company and after living in Yorkton and Saskatoon, they eventually moved to Vancouver. Anna loved people and had a wonderful gift of “helps” which was her ministry.
The memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 2:30 pm. If desired donations may be made to the Gideons of Canada.
