Sep 9, 1928 - Jan 13, 2018
We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Anni Strobl at the Abbotsford Hospital from congestive heart and kidney failure. Anni lived a full and vibrant life until very recently.

Left to miss her most: in Austria, sister Finni Seidensticker and the extended Spraiter family, especially nieces Marianne and Irene and families. Locally, the Saengers, dear friend Adolf, Susan, Karen, Ellen and families. Further away, godson Gary Gierlich and family, the Bavins, godson Pat and John and families.

Anni was predeceased by her parents and brothers as well as husband Karl in 2002. She and Karli immigrated from Austria in 1951. Anni and Karli were instrumental in the development of the Panorama ski resort when they lived in Invermere. They moved to the BC coast, living in the West End of Vancouver, White Rock and since 1990 in Abbotsford.

Anni had an eye for fun, fashion and food. Her love of nature, especially birds, gave her joy.

Special thanks to the staff at Abbotsford Hospital (Emergency, ACE, High Acuity) who handled Anni's care with dignity and respect, and neighbours and friends Faye Reglin and Piet De Bruin and family who went far beyond what ordinary neighbours do.

Thank to Brad Hutchison and home care aides from Fraser Health and Community Services for attending to Anni's needs in the last months which allowed her to live independently in her home until just days before her passing.

Cremation by First Memorial, Aldergrove, will be followed by a private Celebration of Life in April at Tanglebank Farms.

Please no flowers. If so inclined, make a donation to a charity of your choice in Anni's name.
